Erki Nool (born 25 June 1970 in VõruEstonia) is an Estonian decathlete and politician.

Nool is a winner of the gold medal for decathlon in the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney. Although Nool did not place first in any individual event, his total score was the highest. Nool won the title after the competition referee decided to over-rule a discus judge, who had red-flagged his last and only valid attempt due to alleged step-out. The reinstatement of his 43.66-metre third throw sparked unsuccessful counter-protests from other teams. Nool took gold ahead of the Czech Roman Šebrle and American Chris Huffins.

Carmen Kass (born September 14, 1978) is an Estonian model.

Kass was born in TallinnEstonia and grew up in Mäo village, near Paide, the capital of Järva County. Kass, her sister and brother were raised only by their mother Koidu Põder. Her father, Viktor Kass, is a chess teacher in Põlva.

Kass moved to Paris at the age of eighteen and soon received exposure by appearing on the covers of French and American Vogue, Australian Elle, UK ImageMadame Figaro, and French Numéro.

Her career was launched by Anna Wintour and by 1999, Kass was walking the runway for designers such as Marc JacobsMichael KorsCalvin KleinRalph LaurenDonna Karan and Dolce & Gabbana, and posing in advertisements for designers and brands like Calvin KleinChanelGucciDonna KaranDsquared2VersaceGivenchyFendiMax MaraValentinoRalph Lauren, and even General Motors. As of 2007, she is the model and spokesperson for Max Factor. She is currently the face of Spanish fashion brand Hoss Intropia for Autum/Winter 2010 and Swedish brand Lindex. Kass was awarded by Vogue as "Model of the Year" at the 2000 VH1/Vogue Fashion Awards. While a model in New York, she attended the Lee Strasberg Institute. Kass is well known for her distinctive runway walk in the fashion industry despite her height, her feet are small (about an American size seven).

She opened the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show in 1999, and also walked the 2000, 2002, 2003 and 2008.

Arvo Pärt (born 11 September 1935) is an Estonian composer of classical and sacred music. Since the late 1970s, Pärt has worked in a minimalist style that employs his self-invented compositional technique, tintinnabuli. His music is in part inspired by Gregorian chant. As of 2013, Pärt has been the most performed contemporary composer in the world for three years in a row.

Kiiking is a sport that was invented in Estonia by Ado Kosk around 1996.

In Estonian languagekiik means a swing. In a kiiking swing, the swing arms are made of steel to enable a person to swing 360 degrees going over the fulcrum of the swing. A person is fastened to the swing base by their feet. To swing, the person begins to pump by squatting and standing up on the swing. The swing will gain momentum and will, by skilful pumping, take a person over the fulcrum.

Suur Munamägi (in translation "Big Egg Mountain") is the highest peak in Estonia (and the Baltic states), reaching 318 metres (1,043 ft) above sea level. It is located near the village of Haanja, in Võru County in the south-eastern corner of Estonia, close to the borders of both Latvia and Russia. The landscape around the peak - the Haanja Upland - is gently hilly.
