Vytautas (LithuanianVytautas Didysis, BelarusianВітаўт Кейстутавіч (Vitaŭt Kiejstutavič)PolishWitold KiejstutowiczRusynVitovt, Latin: Alexander Vitoldus); styled "the Great" from the 15th century onwards; c. 1350 – October 27, 1430) was one of the most famous rulers of medieval Lithuania. Vytautas was the ruler (1392–1430) of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania which chiefly encompassed the Lithuanians and Ruthenians. He was also the Prince of Hrodna (1370–1382) and the Prince of Lutsk (1387–1389), postulated king of Hussites.

4. Kernavė was a medieval capital of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania and today is a tourist attraction and an archeological site (population 318, 1999). It is located in the Širvintos district municipality located in southeast Lithuania. A Lithuanian state cultural reserve was established in Kernavė in 1989. In 2004 Kernavė Archaeological Site was included into UNESCO world heritage list.

Palanga (GermanPolangenPolishPołąga) is a seaside resort town in western Lithuania, on the shore of the Baltic Sea. It is the busiest summer resort in Lithuania and has beaches of sand (18 km long and up to 300 m wide) and sand dunes.Officially Palanga has the status of a city municipality and includes ŠventojiNemirsetaBūtingė and other settlements, which are considered as part of the city of Palanga.
