My Postcrossing profile

***

I decided to follow Postcrossing "Spotlight interview" to give you a clear idea of me and my postcard addicion.

How did you came across Postcrossing and what got you hooked ?
I remember it was in September 2010. I was looking for how to write address on the envelope. I don't remember 'why' anymore tho. Somehow I came across some page where someone was writing about Postcrossing. I went to the PC page, did some reading there and decided to get registered. It did sound so fresh and interesting since everybody's using e-mail and I think getting a real mail is such a joy.

Show us your mailbox, your mailman/mailwoman, your postoffice or the place you where you post or keep your postcards !
I'm gonna show you how I store my postcards. At the very beginning I just put them in the shoebox, but since the collection keeps growing I needed to think something else. So I got these black boxes. I've been using these about two years for now. Just recently I  decided to take all my cards out from plastic envelopes so I can look at them easily. So I made these papersheets with names of countries and territories.

Have you inspired anyone else to join Postcrossing or start collection of their own ?
I think I did inspire one of my friends.

Show and tell us about your favorite received postcard to date, and what makes it special !
I love all of my postcards. Most special are those from my friends, I guess. But still, can't show you only one card. All my postcards are very precious for me.

Have you been surprised by any place that you have received a postcard from or sent a postcard to ?
Yes, I suppose. There's one guy who sends me a postcards from his travels. He have added many 'new countries' to my collection - like Peru and Georgia. He never tells me when he's going to send so it's always a very pleasant surprise.

Love, Janne.
