The wedding of Prince Carl Philip, Duke of Värmland, and Sofia Hellqvist took place on 13 June 2015 at Slottskyrkan, Stockholm.
Prince Carl Philip, Duke of Värmland (Swedish pronunciation: [ˈkʰɑːɭ ˈfiːliːp]; Carl Philip Edmund Bertil; born 13 May 1979), is a Swedish prince and the only son and the second of three children of King Carl XVI Gustaf and Queen Silvia of Sweden. As of 2014, Prince Carl Philip is third in the line of succession, after his older sister, Crown Princess Victoria, and his niece and goddaughter Princess Estelle.
Princess Sofia of Sweden, Duchess of Värmland (born Sofia Kristina Hellqvist on 6 December 1984) is the wife of Prince Carl Philip, Duke of Värmland. Prior to her marriage, Sofia was a former glamour model and reality television contestant. As a glamour model, Hellqvist won the men's magazine Slitz 's "Miss Slitz" competition in 2004 and was then cast by TV4 and participated in the reality television show Paradise Hotel in 2005.
