Albania (Albanian: Shqipëri/Shqipëria; Gheg Albanian: Shqipni/Shqipnia, Shqypni/Shqypnia), officially the Republic of Albania (Albanian: Republika e Shqipërisë), is a country in Southeast Europe, bordered by Montenegro to the northwest, Kosovo to the northeast, the Republic of Macedonia to the east, and Greece to the south and southeast. It has a coast on the Adriatic Sea to the west and on the Ionian Sea to the southwest. It is less than 72 km (45 mi) from Italy, across the Strait of Otranto which connects the Adriatic Sea to the Ionian Sea.

Mother Teresa (born Anjezë Gonxhe Bojaxhiu; 26 August 1910 – 5 September 1997) also known as Blessed Teresa of Calcutta, MC, was an Albanian Roman Catholic nun and missionary. She was born in Skopje (modern Republic of Macedonia), then part of the Kosovo Vilayet in the Ottoman Empire. After having lived in Macedonia for eighteen years, she moved to Ireland and then to India, where she lived for most of her life.
George Castriot (Albanian: Gjergj Kastrioti); 1405–17 January 1468), known as Skanderbeg (Albanian: Skënderbej/Skënderbeufrom Turkish: İskender Bey), was an Albanian nobleman and military commander, who served the Ottoman Empire in 1423–43, the Republic of Venice in 1443–47, and lastly the Kingdom of Naples until his death. After leaving Ottoman service Skanderbeg always signed himself as "Lord of Albania" (Latin: Dominus Albaniae), and claimed no other titles but that in official documents.
Lorik Agim Cana (born 27 July 1983) is an Albanian professional footballer who plays as a defender for French club Nantes. He is former Albania national football team representer and captained it from 2011 until his retirement in 2016 at the age of 32 after he participated in the first historical competition for Albania UEFA Euro 2016. Cana is also Albania's most capped player of all time, with 93 caps since his debut in 2002. He used to play primarily as a defensive midfielder.
Rita Sahatçiu Ora (born Rita Sahatçiu; 26 November 1990) is a British singer and actress. Her debut studio album, Ora, released in 2012, debuted at number one in the United Kingdom. The album contained the UK number-one singles, "R.I.P." and "How We Do (Party)". After reaching the peak position as a featured act on DJ Fresh's "Hot Right Now", Ora became the artist with the most number-one singles on the UK Singles Chart in 2012, with three consecutive singles reaching the top position. She was nominated for three Brit Awards at the 2013 ceremony.
Mount Korab (Albanian: Maja e Korabit or Mali i Korabit; Macedonian: Голем Кораб, Golem Korab) is the highest mountain of Albania and the Republic of Macedonia, its peak forming a frontier between the two countries. The peak lies adjacent to the Šar Mountains. In 2011, Albania proclaimed its section as part of the Korab-Koritnik Natural Park.
Mount Korab is also pictured in the coat of arms of the Republic of Macedonia.
